I work as a regulatory compliance consultant and fractional chief compliance officer (CCO) Serving US SEC registered investment advisors primarily in private credit and business development companies (BDC).
I am contemplating a career shift to retiring from my "day job" and investing in small socially responsible businesses in the Central Coast of California region. I would like to start an SBIC or small business investment company focused on this niche and aligned with the principles of B-Corps. In my current role I have the opportunity to work with artificial intelligence and knowledge graphs as well as regulatory technology or regtech and I believe that this experience may be transferable to my next venture.
I have made some good decisions financially and professionally, as well as some big mistakes I learned from. I can help others sort out their financial lives. So much of stress and family drama is caused by poorly navigating this area of life.
