Welcome to the World Community Network (WCN)! Join us in creating a blueprint for a new world of harmony and abundance. Our 77-person team now spans six continents and communicates in 57 languages. Behind the scenes, we are very busy developing systems for the web and via a mobile app that will inspire and enable us to connect, communicate, and take collective actions together. The first version of our mobile app for iOS is finished! We just migrated our systems to the Amazon cloud to support much higher web traffic. Priya Sanger, Strategic Advisor (San Francisco, CA USA)

Priya Sanger brings many years of legal experience in the banking & payments, social media, and privacy & information security space. Priya is the former Senior Director, Associate General Counsel of Product, Regulatory, & Regulatory Affairs at Oakland-based payments company, Marqeta (NASDAQ MQ). Marqeta is the world’s first modern card issuing program enabling businesses to offer payment card products to customers without having to deal directly with a traditional bank. Priya also served as a Director on the Board of the Financial Technology Association headquartered in Washington D.C., a lobby group that represents industry leaders shaping the future of finance. She also served as a Co-Chair of the newly-formed Deputy GC Fintech Group at TechGC, promoting frank conversations among in-house counsel on how best to foster responsible innovation. Priya previously worked at fintech Chime, as the Head of Product & Payments, and at creator payments startup Patreon, where she was Deputy GC for Product, Payments, Privacy, and International, and helped expand Patreon’s product and payments reach domestically and internationally into strategic EU Markets. Priya also worked for 5 years as a lawyer at Google in the product & payments space, helping develop payments solutions across Google entities and properties. She started her in-house law experience at Wells Fargo, as a Strategy and Operational Risk regulatory lawyer (among other legal roles). As a former President of the Bar Association of San Francisco while at Wells Fargo, Priya was the first in-house counsel to be President. She created the in-house counsel initiative to help in-house lawyers work with outside counsel to connect with the Bar Association on its pro bono programs. She also has served on the Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights of San Francisco, and has served on the Smith College Alumnae Association Board.
